Attend a Millennium public comment workshop
Attend a public hearing on the draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for Millennium Bulk Terminals.
We have the opportunity to stop Washington State from exporting coal abroad. Our decision makers are accepting public comments and hosting three public hearings to hear your concerns about coal exports. We need you to attend a hearing!
Coal companies like Millennium Bulk Terminals are threatening our health, safety, and economic vitality of our region for their private gain. Coal trains pollute the air with coal dust pollution and diesel exhaust. Health experts link coal and diesel pollution to asthma, heart disease, and lung cancer. We deserve clean air, not new sources of air pollution in our communities.
Coal is the dirtiest fossil fuel by far. The transport and storage will impact our local communities and the burning of the coal will contribute to more global warming pollution.
Now is the time to speak up for a different future vs. one relying on exporting coal abroad. We have the power to reject dirty coal and fuel the transition to safer industries. We can do better.
